We can’t keep our eyes off Mississauga’s John River when he keeps “Calling Me Back” with new singles. River has been on a hot streak dropping his third single this year and this time it’s a proclamation. In his own words, John River is back, and he’s doing some reflection before lift of. It’s a classic reminiscing boom bap track with soul vocals but nothing hits like those triumphant horns.
There’s no announcement for a project on the way from River yet but with three singles, two of them comeback themed, in the same year anything is possible (especially in 2020). CJRU has reached out for further details.
