In May, we launched our weekly morning news show with a whole new format – one that lets us provide a show that is bigger and better than before. Our three teams of hosts, producers and writers have been rotating each week to present the best of what’s happening on campus and in our community. However, our reporters will be taking a much-deserved break until July 21, so it’s the perfect time to take a look at the best reports, interviews and stories from the past couple months.

You’ll hear Luke Williams with his report on the debate over installing WIFI in our national parks, and reporter Melissa Myers gets to the bottom of CASL, the new anti-spam law that could significantly unclutter your inbox. Also, Halla Imam interviews the folks behind Rye Home Grown Community Gardens, and Deborah Erwin speaks with a researcher whose work revealed the millions of tiny plastic particles floating in Lake Ontario. Plus, Josephine Tse speaks with Sophie Hackett, Assistant Curator of Photography at the Art Gallery of Ontario, and curator of What it means to be seen: Photography and Queer Visibility at Ryerson Image Centre.

The team will be back on July 21 with all new episodes. Listen every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:00 AM on thescopeatryerson.ca.
