May 2nd marks Canada’s first Authors for Indies event. Authors for Indies is a day when well-known authors show their support for independent bookstores by visiting bookstores across Canada and volunteering as book sellers.
One of these authors, Farzana Doctor, has released two novels (Stealing Nasreen and Six Metres of Pavement) and will shortly be releasing her third, All Inclusive. CJRU reporter Sara Cristiano was recently able to talk to Farzana Doctor about Authors for Indies as well as her career as an author, among other subjects.
