CJRU is expanding its news programming and hiring a local Journalist to lead this endeavour. We are looking for someone who is passionate about telling local stories with a focus on amplifying the most underserved and often unheard voices in our community.

This positions is funded through The Local Journalism Initiative. The Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) program was launched by the Community Radio Fund of Canada and funded by the Government of Canada. The program is focusing on diverse, local communities that may be underserved in the Canadian news landscape. The goal is to increase the production of news in those areas and to make that news more accessible across the country. We’re elevating original, local news.
